Transport for the chemical industry

The chemical industry is one of the main users of ADR transport. Solvents, acids, bases, flammable and reactive products require compliant vehicles and drivers with specific training. BYLO Transport covers ADR classes 2, 3, 4.1, 4.2, 5.1, 5.2, 6.1, 8 and 9, on national and international routes.

What we bring to the chemical sector

Italian chemical and petrochemical companies face a constant challenge: moving dangerous products while meeting safety standards, tight timing and growing regulatory pressure.

BYLO Transport offers:

  • Vehicles suited to the served ADR classes — tractors and smaller vehicles for lighter loads.
  • ADR-trained, licensed drivers — periodically refreshed training.
  • Route planning — respecting ADR restrictions on tunnels, time slots and urban centers.
  • Full trip documentation — DDT, ADR regulation, safety data sheet, written driver instructions.

Examples of products we move

  • Industrial solvents (toluene, xylene, acetone, alcohols)
  • Acids and bases (hydrochloric, sulfuric, sodium hydroxide)
  • Paints and coatings
  • Detergents and industrial cleaning products
  • Cosmetic raw materials
  • Additives for plastic and rubber production

If your product isn’t on the list, contact us with the safety data sheet: ADR compatibility checks are quick once we have the product’s ADR data.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about this sector

Which types of chemicals do you carry?

All products in ADR classes 2, 3, 4.1, 4.2, 5.1, 5.2, 6.1, 8 and 9 — gases, solvents, acids, bases, oxidizers, organic peroxides, toxics, corrosives and miscellaneous dangerous goods. Classes 1 (explosives) and 7 (radioactives) are excluded.

How do you handle chemical incompatibility between different loads?

Every trip is verified beforehand against the product safety data sheet (SDS). Incompatible loads (e.g. an acid and a base) don't travel together; if needed, we organize dedicated trips even for smaller volumes.

Do you only operate in Italy or also abroad for chemicals?

Both. International runs are organized case by case, checking the destination country's ADR restrictions upfront (tunnels, urban centers, time slots).
